I am happy to say that I've been training every day and it feels good. Today was coupled with running, hill walking, and a kickboxing class. I even got back into my personal training and will be doing that once a week. Look out. I'm back!
Let's hope that I can keep up the momentum and stay healthy thru the New Year.

A Birthday
Well, I turned 38 on Sunday. It was a good day. I taught spin class and then spent the rest of the day with Lee. None of my other friends were available to go out on my birthday so Lee & I spent it alone. It's good to have quiet time with your boyfriend. He took me to dinner...yes, sushi and then went to bed early.
Funny how things change. Last year, I went for sushi with a bunch of my girlfriends and this year none of them were around. Turning 38 didn't place me into a new age group, but it has allowed me to be more grounded.
What is it I want out of life? What is it that I am accomplishing? These are things on my mind.
I am content to have my family and their health. My health has been pretty good too. What I'd like to do is get back into my racing. This year I plan on the Great Wall Of China Marathon. I think that will be good to help me get back into racing.

I know it's been a while since I've written. There aren't many good excuses. I'll just say I'm sorry. I've had a hard time getting back into training. I hurt my back in March and things just haven't been the same since. At least now, I can run with out much pain.
These days, I've been on the treadmill. I don't know why, but I can't stand the cold this year. It's so dark out in the early AM and I'm not getting up as early as I used to.
Today, I found myself on the treadmill. Yes, I've become a treadmill runner again. It's been this way for the past 2 weeks. I am hoping to do some base training and get ready for next years season.
Lee and I have plans to run the Midnight run this year in Central Park. It's a 4 mile run starting at midnight. I think it would be a lot of fun. I've wanted to do this race for the past few years, but didn't. I'm usually asleep by 10 so we'll see.
I do have plans on doing 3 good races next year. They will all be challenging.
Will you join me?
