MA: Day before the race

I got out of work today at 1:30 with a smile on my face as I KNEW I would beat all the traffic to Woburn, MA. I WAS WRONG. What should have taken me 3 + hours, took me 5 hours. There was traffic everywhere. Of course, my navagation system told me what was going on, but what could I do. At 2 hours into the drive, I felt like turning around and going home. 3 hours into the drive, Lee called and I wished I turned around and made it to NYC to see him. BUT here I am. I made it.

As always, I do think the day before the race is important, sometimes more important than the race itself. I will need my rest; however, my room is cold and I turned on the heat. What better time to check in and write.

After checking into my room, I found the smell of smoke. After a quick chat with Patrick the hotel receptionist, I got my room changed and headed out for dinner. Dinner was quick as I GOT filled quickly. I did get the rest of my dinner wrapped...not sure if I'd like something that heavy before the race, but I'll have it just in case.
